A Legacy Reborn

From our yearly gatherings in Montreal and Hamburg (2008–2016) to our focused one-day event in Frankfurt (2019), the WebObjects community has always been about connection. After a hiatus, we are thrilled to bring the energy back to the heart of Europe.

The Heart of Bavaria

Munich offers the perfect backdrop for our reunion. Spend your evenings exploring the city's world-class culture and culinary scene.

For our international community, Munich is exceptionally accessible via its major international airport and central train station, making travel seamless from anywhere in the world.

Our venue for the conference will be the Hyperion Hotel MΓΌnchen.

Call for Papers

There will be one sequential conference track in a single large room. We can accommodate presentations, talks, and discussions of either 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes. If demand allows, we will also feature a lightning talks section with 5-minute sessions. Hands-on workshops are also highly encouraged!

FAQ

What is the exact timetable? When on Friday will the event start? When on Sunday will it end?

That depends on how many events we will have in the end. Obviously we will try to do most of them on Saturday, and then expand from Friday evening backwards and Sunday morning forward as needed, so those of you who can't arrive early or need to leave early on Sunday don't miss too much.

Our advice would be to try to arrive as early as you can (possibly already on Thursday, in which case you would need to book your own accommodation) and leave as late as you can, but don't force yourself to be there for the entire 3 days if it's too stressful.

How is the ticket price calculated?

The price is calculated to cover costs at 25-30 attendees. With less than 25, we would come out at a loss, and with more than 30, we would have some budget left to spend afterwards, be it to fund some development or whatever else we want to do.

Why in Munich? I though your company is in Regensburg?

Regensburg doesn't have an airport. Munich is reasonably close and has a major airport with international connections. That's it.

Will there be some kind of online participation?

We aim to do session recordings as we always did in previous years. We're also planning for some way to participate remotely in real time for those of you who can't travel, but we cannot guarantee that at this time.

What if I want to arrive earlier than Friday, or the offered two hotel nights don't fit me otherwise?

That's why the rooms that we reserved can be booked independently from the conference ticket. You are free to just book the ticket and contact our hotel (or any other accommodation of your choice) on your own to book something else.
